Where on my system are the current/original maps stored for Starcraft 2?

I would like to either edit current maps to increase the money on them, or get money maps.

Where, on my Windows 7 system, can I find the original Blizzard maps? Or are they not stored on my system?

Also where can I get good money maps?

1 Answer 1

I don’t think they are stored anywhere accessible by default; however, you can follow this process to edit them:

  1. Open SC2 map editor
  2. Choose «open»
  3. Choose the «battle.net» tab
  4. Make sure the «blizzard» source is selected, then choose whatever map you want
  5. Click OK

The map is now loaded in the editor — you can proceed to edit it and save it locally wherever you want.

Sc2 Settings Reset and Custom Games Saves Lost

After waking up I decided to play a few games of sc2. Immediately I notice the resolution is incorrect, followed by the opening cut scene with Tychus playing. I skip it and log onto battle.net to check my settings. All restored to default. I check my saves for custom games and the campaign, finding my campaign save sill there, but missing my custom game saves.

Has anyone else had their settings randomly reset?
I don't have much hope of restoring them, but if anyone could help I'd be grateful.

Some settings are stored online with your B.net profile and used when you log in (ie. your hotkeys). Do they still show up correct?

I find it particularly mysterious that your campaign saves are intact when your replays are not.

Any chance someone messed with your computer? Check your "My Documents\Starcraft II" paths for the saves/replays and make sure you (or someone else) didn't accidentally moved or renamed a folder or something.
