Сохранения «Fallout 3» хранятся в операционной системе Windows в папке [Saves], находящейся по умолчанию в профиле пользователя на системном диске «C». Игра поддерживает облачную синхронизацию сохранений в GOG Galaxy. На полное прохождение игры Fallout 3 требуется 116 часов (на сюжет и второстепенные задания — 53 часа, только на сюжет — 23 часа). Игра была взломана командой 0X0007 в день релиза.

Отключение интро
Для отключения стартовой заставки при запуске Fallout 3 открываем папку \Data\Video\, находящуюся внутри папки с установленной игрой, удаляем или переименовываем видеофайл Fallout INTRO Vsk.bik.

I have looked online and can find where they are for Windows 7 , under docs / mygames etc. but on Windows 10 that does not appear to be the case. any help welcomed .
I have saved the game on my Windows 10 computer and when I reload the game the continue option is there , but I want to move my save file from my Windows 7 computer to my windows 10 laptop and continue from where I am currently , I have my save files from windows 7 , no problem. but cannot locate on Windows 10 , even though I have saved a FO3 game file !

No not so far, but I did run the fixes as recommended in the sticky.
I have happily been playing fallout new Vegas also for around 7 hours, no lock ups or crashing. Using nvidia cards on my computers and a ATI 8550m on my laptop, works well on the laptop 60 fps at 1600 x 900, fingers crossed that will continue with some mods to pretty up the game.

Yeah NewVegas runs fine, just for some reason fallout 3 crashes alot. Ill have to do that fix, thanks.

If your savegames are in _that_ location, it means that previously at some point you asked Windows 10 to relocate your personal profile to OneDrive folder.
For those who have regular (non-relocated profile), savegame files will be stored in the normal location: Users/<username>/Saved Games/Fallout3

Wrong! Win 10 fallout saves not in steam are stored in:
C:\Users\(User Name)\Documents\My Games\Fallout3\Saves Yes, you are right, this is the default location.
But you can change the link as you want in the registry or in the .ini files. And some plugins overwriting the .ini can change it without warning. Perhaps Andey-t used such a mod
Here are the full steps I take to get Fallout 3 completely stable and saving and looking very good. Please give me credit because this for sure works.
how to get fallout 3 working without crashing on windows 10 by steam user Redstar (Stompandromp)
#1-before installing fallout 3, install games for windows live.
#2-Install the disc or steam based version of fallout 3.
#3-Install the latest version 1.7 fallout official patch.
-NOW, START THE GAME TO HAVE IT MAKE YOUR FALLOUT.INI. Load the GAME. SET YOUR RES. SET IT TO 1920×1080 and ULTRA QUALITY. OCE THE GAME STARTS. SAVE IT.
#4-Install the latest fallout unofficial patch-having it correct your ini file.
#5-Install Vortex off nexus mods. Make sure to allow the program exception through windows defender ransomware I wouldn’t install any mods besides the Archive Invalidaiton Invalidated, games for windows live DISABLE, Rivet City max res textures, Megton hi res textures, Fallout 3 retuextures, ETC. HD terminals textures, Smoothlight v1, Vandr HD creatures, Ghoul retexture, Robot revolution, skill books hir0res, hd smoky fire and explosions, pipboy 3000 hd retexture, Vortex Archive Invalidation.
#6. Next, take ownership of c:\programs files x86\Bethesda softworks and this dir:
C:\Users\Admin\Documents\My Games\Fallout3

"What worked for me is my Account name, while part of the Administrators group, was not actually called "Administrators." It was called "redstar". Since I was playing under this folder, I had to give my user account admin and full control privileges for whatever reason to fix this.
To do that go to your Fallout 3 dir. Mine was listed below:
C:\Program Files (x86)\ Once there, I found the "Bethesda Softworks" folder.
Right click that folder. Choose "Properties". Then click the "Security" tab at the top. In the middle, click "Edit". click "Add". Type your login name. Mine was redstar. click "check names". click ok. In the middle find your name you just typed. In the bottom box, put a check mark in "Full Control". Click Apply. Stay in Security. Now click the "Advanced" button. At the very top, see the folder name and where it says "Owner". Click "Change" next to owner. Type your account user name. Check names>ok. Tell it yes you want that to apply to all sub-items, folders etc. Hit aply ok all the way out.
Do the SAME THING AS ABOVE ALSO to this directory:
Take owner each time of this directory:
C:\Users\XXXXX\Documents
(don’t just take owndership of "My games", do the whole thing."
Lastly, on the fallout3.exe, right click it, choose compatibility, and choose to run as administrator.

#7-Make sure your user name has full control on both the fo folders (my games and program files x86)
#8-click the compatibility tab for fallout3.exe and fallout launcher. Click change settings for all users and make sure Windows Vista Service Pack 2 is selected for compatibility. hit apply ok. Also, check mark disable fullscreen optimizations.
#9-now, run the 4gb patch.zip (the file is called "4gb_patch.zip", drag the .exe out, select fallout3.exe and run the patcher. I got it off nexus mods.
#10-Install boss. Make it realign your mods.
#11-Install the d3d9.dll from the "win 7 and 8 patch.zip" file. Put that .dll in your main fo3 dir. Then run fallout launcher (not fo3.exe). THEN, set your res and all options to ultra, 1920×1080 (it’ll be a wierd res if you dont) and make sure to set anti aliasing and all that.
#12-BEFORE YOU START A GAME. (or if you DO start one) immediately go to settings and turn off ALL/ AUTO SAVING. Hit f5 to quick save OFTEN. Also, make sure your user name is the OWNER of My Documents. the ENTIRE FOLDER.
#13- ALSO-under windows defender security center, allow all the fallout.exe and mod.exe through.
(Settings>Update and security>windows security>virus and threat protection>ransomware proteciton>allow an app through controlled folder access> (now choose all the .exe including vortex).
If it still refuses to save, then the only thing you can do is. before starting new games. you must take ownership of the my documents folder. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
DONE. ENJOY Fallout 3 on Windows 10.
GOG version does all this, but just does cloud saves to bypass the saving issue.
