# Installing the launcher
Instructions for installing PojavLauncher on Android devices.
You can grab PojavLauncher from the Google Play Store here.
Requires a GitHub account in order to download.
If you want the latest and greatest to test before the official release, you can grab a copy from GitHub Actions.

Start off by heading to the PojavLauncher
- Next, select "Android CI" in the workflow selection menu.
- Choose a build with a green or blue checkmark next to the branch you want to download.
- v3_openjdk will be the one for most people.
- Under "Artifacts", choose the build type you wish to download.
- app-debug will be the one for most people.
Once you have an Actions build downloaded, you can now unzip the file and install it as you would any other .apk file.

We recommend TrollStore for all users if possible. This method allows for automatic JIT enabling, more memory allocation, and non-revoking installs.
Follow the steps to install TrollStore
- TrollStore is compatible with the following iOS versions:
- 14.0 to 15.4.1
- 15.5 beta 1 to 15.5 beta 4
- 15.6 beta 1 to 15.6 beta 5

Locate where the .ipa was downloaded, tap the Share icon, and choose TrollStore in the list of options available.

PojavLauncher supports being sideloaded with AltStore, Sideloadly, and Xcode. Instructions to use AltStore are below—for other options, refer to their documentation.

Installing PojavLauncher is not the end for iOS devices. In order to play Minecraft itself, you will need to enable JIT.
Currently, AppSync Unified is not supported. There is an issue
(opens new window) regarding the data directory when installed with AppSync.
You can follow the Sideloading (TrollStore) or Sideloading (Unjailbroken) steps to sideload on a jailbroken iDevice. Regardless of the method, you will benefit from automatic JIT enabling and more memory allocation.

v2.2 Deepslate
Added in Minecraft 1.17, Deepslate makes up the foundation of a Minecraft world, just above bedrock. We chose this name because of the majority of changes in this version targeting core changes.
With this release of PojavLauncher, we refined features, fixed bugs, and implemented small additions to existing ones to buff user experience. While there are not many notable changes to discuss here, there are some we can show:
- Implemented a controller configurator
- Increased reliability in various places
- Added haptics to the on-screen controls
- Switched to new input methods to speed up control times
- Secured demo mode
- Added new preferences to control more of the app
- Resolve various issues with windowing in older versions
- and many, many more!
This is the last major release of PojavLauncher that will support iOS 12 and 13. Important security patches and bug fixes will be applied when required for a limited time, however take note that issues encountered will not be considered high priority. See more information in #547.

v2.2 "Deepslate" Release Candidate
This release of PojavLauncher is designed for testers to play around with. Bugs, issues, and other various quirks may exist — please report them so we can get them wrapped up before the official release.

The rootless package attached to this release is designed for jailbreaks in /var/jb on iOS 15 and later, such as palera1n. Consult your setup to find out whether or not you need this.

v2.1 "Sculk Catalyst"
Added in Minecraft 1.19, a Sculk Catalyst is a block dropped by a Warden when killed, making up the biome of Deep Dark. We chose to use it for naming this release because of initial 1.19 support, as well as the monumental changes introduced in this release.

A brand-new News screen replaces the FAQ for always up-to-date information from the team. A redesigned Settings screen allows you to fine tune PojavLauncher — even in game. An intuitive Log Output screen can be displayed during runtime — allowing you to share line-by-line or all in, automatically presenting in the event of a crash.

We began PojavLauncher by introducing touch controls. We improved on this by making them customizable in so many ways. And now — we’ve heightened them again, by adding support for keyboard, mouse, and even controllers. If it works with iOS, it will most likely work with PojavLauncher too.

Pojav Launcher is a Minecraft Java Edition launcher for iOS based on zhouwei’s Boardwalk project, which brought Minecraft 1.13 to Android.
Improved upon and revived by the team, Pojav Launcher brings Boardwalk to new heights with more versions, more devices, and even iOS support.
Highlights
This app can launch most of available Minecraft versions, up to latest 1.19, including Combat Test versions (1.17+ support is available as of v2.0, or with the workarounds described on our website).
Pojav Launcher supporta Modding via Forge and Fabric, and older versions of Forge and Fabric can be used with OpenJDK 8.

For those who wish to install quickly, here’s the basics (on iOS 12 or later):
If you have Chimera, Taurine, Odyssey, or another jailbreak that comes with libhooker, this one’s for you.
- Search for pojavlauncher with your favorite package manager
- Install PojavLauncher iOS
If you have unc0ver, checkra1n, or another jailbreak that comes with Cydia Substrate or Substitute, this one’s for you. You can also use this if you have a libhooker jailbreak.
- Add https://repository.crystall1ne.software to your sources list.
- Search for pojavlauncher with your favorite package manager.
- Install the package you wish to have, according to your preference:
- pojavlauncher.release is the stable build. This one gets updated with new releases or tags on this repository, or when Procursus updated their copy.
- pojavlauncher.development is the latest commit on the main branch of this repository. It may have application breaking bugs, but also has more features.
- The rootless variants serve the same purpose, but only work with Procursus jailbreaks and iOS 15 (see our website for more information).
Some Forge versions may fail with java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException .
The game will be prone to JetsamEvents.

- Create your account for Github.
- Then, under the Actionstab, save the PojavLauncher IPA file on your iPhone.
- If you got the PojavLauncher IPA in Zip format, unzip it in the Files app.
- Then, on the iPhone, open the AltStore app, tap the +symbol at the top, and pick PojavLauncher.
- PojavLauncher will be installed on the iOS device in a matter of seconds.
You must enable JIT on your windows PC or Mac while using this method. On your PC or mac simply go to the Alt Store icon and clickon Enable JIT.Then, on your iPhone, open AltStore then Press and hold PojavLauncher and tap on Enable JIT.
Can you download Pojav Launcher from the App store?
Pojav Launcher is available for Android and Windows but here iOS is left behind. Pojav Launcher is not available on App Store. You can only get Pojav Launcher on your iOS device by sideloading as it is not an official iOS application.
Can you install Pojav Launcher on iOS without jailbreaking?
