Вот уже 11 лет кубический мир Minecraft собирает на своих серверах миллионы геймеров, а слова «скачать Майнкрафт» влетают в топы запросов поисковиков. Игра не ставит каких-либо конкретных целей, но предлагает полную свободу действий (позднее подобный жанр игр назовут «песочницей»).
За это проект студии Mojang и полюбили миллионы людей по всему миру: вы можете исследовать мир, добывать полезные ископаемые для строительства собственного замка или фермы, сражаться с противниками, торговать с другими игроками, воевать с ними же и многое другое.
Minecraft 2 вышел еще 7 лет назад. Но был шуткой
Изначально Minecraft 2 был первоапрельской шуткой Mojang. Версию предварительно распространили только среди знаменитых игроков. А 1 апреля 2013 года ее можно было найти на сайте assets.minecraft.net.
В целом, Minecraft 2 был просто веселым модом на пару дней.
- Курицы атаковали при зрительном контакте с ними. А в случае смерти «вызывали подкрепление».
- Можно было откармливать животных. После десятого приема пищи перекормленные коровы, овцы, лошади и свиньи просто взрывались.
- Если использовать на овце золотое яблоко, она начинала медленно взлетать.
- Блоки могли общаться с помощью комиксовых сносок: «Ouch», «You punched me!», «You mined me!», «Did I do bad?», «That hurts! :(», «You’re mean!», «Mommy?».
- Новая опция Super HD Graphics обесцвечивала все текстуры, оставляя цвета растительности, надетой броне, некоторым предметам со сложной текстурой и графическим эффектам.
- В списке нововведений указано, что в Minecraft 2 добавили много новых предметов для рыбалки, но одновременно говорилось об удалении рыбалки: «Если у вас есть рыба в инвентаре, вам будут наноситься повреждения, чтобы отбить охоту к рыбалке».
А еще в Minecraft 2 был сверхвраждебный режим — каждые 2-5 минут на версиях Red и Purple на 25 секунд включается дождь, в землю (а также игрока) ударяют несколько десятков молний, и с неба по молниям спускается орда различных монстров, изначально враждебных к игроку даже в творческом режиме.

В дальнейшем мы планируем выпустить несколько игр, но все они будут в других жанрах, сохраняя лишь основные механики и визуальный стиль.
Неудивительно, что шведская студия не видит смысла в создании продолжения. Что может соблазнить потенциальную аудиторию отказаться от оригинального Minecraft? У игры нет сюжетной составляющей, поэтому в этом плане развития у игры нет. Улучшение графической составляющей тоже спорное решение, так как игра привлекает многих именно благодаря такому утрированному пиксель-арту.
